As we approach the end of 2024, it’s the perfect time to look back on an incredible first season at FLX Retreats. This journey has been nothing short of amazing, and we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to every guest, visitor, partner, and contractor who played a role in making our first official season so special.
In July, we opened our Treehouses at Seneca Lake, offering a unique way to experience the stunning Finger Lakes region. The demand was substantial and for that we are so grateful. Our treehouses received over 70 bookings in the first two months alone, as guests flocked to embrace the beauty of nature while enjoying our cozy accommodations.
The Treehouses quickly became a standout attraction, providing breathtaking views and elevated amenities high in the trees. Guests shared glowing reviews, praising the perfect mix of rustic charm and modern convenience. Many enjoyed memorable moments, such as stargazing from their private decks and sipping morning coffee surrounded by nature’s tranquility. One guest said, “Watching the sunrise from the treehouse was the highlight of our trip!”
The Condos at Conesus Lake, which were available throughout the entire season, expanded our guest offerings even further. Throughout the spring and summer, we introduced upgrades, such as new furnishings and expanded outdoor areas, resulting in an increase in guest satisfaction ratings from July to September.
Visitors cherished the inviting atmosphere of the Condos, which allowed them to relax and reconnect with family and friends. The feedback inspired us to constantly adapt and refine our offerings, placing us on the map as a go-to destination for unforgettable experiences in the Finger Lakes.
July was a turning point for us. We acquired the former Camp Dittmer in Phelps, NY, and through community feedback, we renamed it FLX Retreats Campground at Heritage Lake. This name change holds special meaning for us, signifying our commitment to honoring the stories and traditions of our cherished region.
Heritage Lake is overflowing with potential. We aim to transform it into a hub for celebration, relaxation, and fun for campers. Our vision includes creating outdoor gathering spaces, hosting community events, and offering outdoor activities. One of our first projects is implementing a frisbee golf course!
As we move into this new chapter, we are thrilled to open this previously private space to the community and provide something for everyone to enjoy. We believe that Heritage Lake will not only enhance the FLX Retreats family, but will also become a community staple we hope many will enjoy for years to come.
In November, we added a brand-new property to our FLX Retreats repertoire – Coastal Cottage at Seneca Lake, only 3 minutes from FLX Treehouses! This charming lake house is nestled along the tranquil shores, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Whether you’re looking to unwind by the water, enjoy a peaceful retreat, or embark on exciting activities, Coastal Cottage has something for everyone.
With ample space to comfortably sleep up to 10 guests, it’s an ideal destination for families and friends. We are delighted to have recently opened this gem for booking, and we can’t wait to welcome guests in the 2025 season. Start planning your dream lakeside retreat today and be among the first to experience the whimsy, wonder, and adventure of Coastal Cottage by FLX Retreats!
This progress wouldn’t have been possible without the support from our amazing guests, dedicated visitors and committed partners. Your enthusiasm and insights have driven us to continuously innovate, and we are thankful to each of you for choosing FLX Retreats as your getaway this season.
